
Entrance Exam Required to Study MBBS Abroad
The Medical Council of India (MCI) issued a directive in March 2019 requiring all indian medical aspirants interested in studying MBBS
overseas to take the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
Another important exam is the FMGE Examination which is one of the necessary conditions for practicing medicine in India, for a doctor
with a medical degree from an institution outside the country.
Course Duration
Most foreign medical universities have at least 5 years long courses. As part of the curriculum, students mandatorily appear for a year-long
internship in the final year of the course.
